Philippines beaches:

Muelle Bay, Puerto Galera, Mindoro Island. An ideal place to do island-hopping on to unspoiled beaches.
- Muraran Beach, Catanduanes Island, one of the Philippines' major surf venues with appealing white sand.
- Honda Bay, Palawan, Philippines. An area of exceptional natural beauty
- Malapascua Island, Cebu. Reasonably unknown but highly rated on the world's best beach/dive.
- Bantayan Island, Cebu. A low-key, laid-back resort with friendly locals.
- Alona Beach, Panglao Island, Bohol. A pictorial beach near the famous landscape Chocolate Hills.
- White Beach, Boracay Island. The sand is exceptionally white, soft and never gets hot, with a huge variety of small, friendly accommodation.
Mediterranean beaches:
- Beaches in Greece beaches,
- Sandy Beaches Turkey
- Nude Beaches at France, especially Corsica Island.
- Still a little space left in Spain.
- La Costa Verde, Sardinia island, and Lampedusa Island, Italy. A superb beach and less busy than Costa Smeralda, the island's best-known area.

- Kolocep Island, Croatia, with some of the loveliest, secluded beaches in Europe.
Vietnam beaches:
- China Beach, between Da Nang and Hoi An. An endless and unspoilt white strand.
- Nha Trang on 'the Vietnamese Riviera' is a delightful little town of friendly locals, with a splendid white sandy beach.
- Mui Ne Beach, Mui Ne, near Phan Thiet. Spectacular sand dunes.
Pacific Ocean beaches.
- Stunning beaches at Hawaii,
- Anakena beach, Easter Island Pictures. Not a huge beach but soft sand, clear sea, palm trees and six huge moai.
- Matira Beach, Bora Bora beaches, French Polynesia. One of South Pacific's best beaches, beginning at the famous resort Hotel Bora Bora.
- Yasawa Islands beaches, Fiji, a chain of islands with coral sandy beaches and reasonably priced backpacker resorts.
- One Foot Island Beach, islet of Aitutaki Island, the Cook Islands beaches. Listed as one of the 'Unforgettable places to see before you die'
- South coast of Ofu Island, American Samoa. A dramatic landscape and part of a National Park, with very few tourists.
- Lefaga Beaches and Aleipata Beach, Upolu island, Western Samoa. Relatively unknown but one of the prettiest beaches in the South Pacific.
- Ha'apai Beach, Foa island, Ha'apai islands, Tonga. Some of the least expensive destinations in the South Pacific with the friendliest locals.
Australia beaches:
- North East, including Great Barrier Reef [GBR] islands:
- Mission Beach, south of Cairns, an undeveloped mix of superb beaches, reef access, walks and more.
- North Stradbroke Island, near Brisbane, for wildlife walks, quiet beaches and good surf.
- Noosa Heads, Sunshine Coast, a tranquil, dispersed town with great, soft beaches, parks and surf.
- Fraser Island's Lake McKenzie; clear freshwater surrounded by rainforest and the purest white sand.
- Whitsunday Islands, 6km of powder sand and turquoise water. Most visitors day-trip from other islands.
- Hamilton Island, varied hotels, lots of activities available, good access to Whitehaven beach.
Indian Ocean beaches:
- Ile Sainte Marie, Madagascar. An idyllic island resort fringed by peaceful beaches.
- Pangani, Tanzania, and the north & east coast of Zanzibar. Perfect for relaxating after wildlife safaris.
- Anse Lazio, Praslin island, Anse Source d'Argent, La Digue Island, Ile Souris, east coast of Mahé island, Seychelles. Picturesque island resorts including one of the morld's most photographed beaches.
- Flic en Flac, Trou aux Biches and Paradis beaches, Mauritius beaches. Less exclusive and expensive than Seychelles but excellent nevertheless.
- Palolem Beach, Goa, India Travel Guide. A major tourist destination but still laid-back and appealing.
- Diani Beach, or Serena Beach, Kenya Travel Guide. Good for families and value for money.
Mexico beaches:
Crowded, very hot and humid, mosquito overload....
Thailand beaches:
May - Oct is probably the worst time to go, especially on the Andaman [west] Coast [heavy rains].
The Gulf [east] Coast has a much less heavy rains than the west coast but longer, from June - Dec.
Caribbean beaches
- Little Bay, Anguilla. A tranquil, secluded bay; access by boat only.
- Johnson's Point [Crab Hill], Antigua, with great views over Guadeloupe, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis.
- Pink sand Beach, Harbour Island, Bahamas. One of world's most photographed beaches.
- Crane Beach, Barbados. Barbados' prime space.
- Placencia, Belize; a laid-back town with 16 miles of pristine sands.
- The Baths, Virgin Gorda, BVI, a popular beach on a friendly island.
- White Bay, Jost Van Dykes Island; BVI's secret gem.
- Varadero, Cuba Travel Guide. 20km of clean, uncrowded beach on the Straits of Florida. .
Malaysia beaches
- Berjaya Tioman Beacht, a secluded, palm-fringed beach, or Kampung Juara for total serenity, Tioman Island.
- Long Beach, Kecil Island, Perhentian Islands. A popular destination for budget travelers.
- Redang Island, Redang archipelago, with a superb marine park, is excellent for scuba/snorkel addicts.
- Turtle Beach and Golden Beach, Similajau National Park, Sarawak. Well worth the hassle to get there for some of Malaysia's finest beaches.
Atlantic Ocean beaches
