Kiawah Island has around 10 mile long beach.Which is the main attraction for this region. Kiawah island has lot to offer for its visitor. This island has been classified as complete family beach. While vising Kiawah Island Please remember that Kiawah Island is a complete resort community with a full-time resident population. When you visit, be a courteous neighbor.

There are two complete professional tennis court.There are many dining restaurent at Kiawah island. Beachwalker Country Park is main public beach at Kiawah Island. Located at the west end of Kiawah Island. The park offers a wide sandy front beach with a large designated swimming area, dressing areas, outdoor showers, restrooms, picnic area with grills, Snack bar (seasonal), beach chair & umbrella rentals. Lifeguards are on duty seasonally along a beachfront designated swimming area.Lifeguards watch over the 450-foot swimming area during high season and outdoor showers and well-maintained dressing rooms are available. Stroll the boardwalk, set up a cookout at the picnic area equipped with grills, play Frisbee and enjoy a cold drink from the snack bar or rent a beach chair and umbrella and just stretch out with a good book.
Beachwalker Park is a beautiful site with access to a wonderful Lowcountry beach. But note that Kiawah is about 45 minutes from downtown Charleston. It is a great getaway beach but will limit other sightseeing time. If you want to visit a beach closer to Charleston, you can get to Folly Beach in less than half the time.

Kiawah Island is named after the Kiawah Indian tribe that lived on this island and on the coastal areas around Charleston. The friendly Kiawah Indians advised, assisted, and traded with the original Charles Towne settlers.
