Holiday Accommodation is mostly in apartments and studios and ranges from basic to 4 star. All accommodations are located either directly on the beach, or just a very short stroll away. Furthermore Playa d'en Bossa is only 10 minutes drive from Ibiza Town and the airport, with a regular bus service to each.

The longest stretch of beach on the island, it is dotted with Bars and Cafés offering a variety of scenes. The clear waters are very shallow near the shore, and the sea floor is almost entirely sand, making it ideal for ballgames. There is little shade so take coverups. Excellent views of D'Alt Vila (the Ibiza Old Town) and close-ups of low flying aircraft.

When the south wind blows this beach is very popular with the island's windsurfers, who take advantage of the bump & jump conditions caused by the choppy swell.

The far end of the beach (away from Ibiza Town) is calmer and quieter than the Ibiza end, less people and much less house music. For those of you looking for the definitive Ibiza beach party, wander along to Bora Bora Bar (about in the middle of d'en Bossa beach), where there are several bars playing house music and serving cold vodka-lemons in the sun!

D'en Bossa Beach Bars
The beach at Playa d'en Bossa is lined with beach bars. Many, including the (in)famous Bora Bora, play house music throughout the day. Others further down toward Club Med (away from Ibiza) are a bit more relaxed!
One of, if not, the longest beach on the island - has to be surveyed to be believed.
It's the other (and main) beach if you're fortunate enough to have accomodation in the middle of Ibiza town or the remarkable Playa d'en Bossa. It's extremely long (the dog will love it!) and features at least 50 beach bars offering similar fare.

One of the exceptions worthy of note on this stretch is the Bora Bora bar. This is the pre-Space, aprés Space, or 'I didn't get into Space' bar.

It also happens to lie directly under the flight path of all planes landing at Ibiza airport - so the music has to be loud. Nice beach really - also in the summer the photo of the beach changes a little !

Top Beaches

Santa Eulália

This beach, awarded with the blue flag, begins immediately after Es Riu de Santa Eulalia and ends at the marina. It has all kinds of facilities and services, such as jet skis and parasailing.

Alcúdia (Majorca)

There is a pine grove behind the beach that runs parallel to it until it meets an urban area. All kinds of water sports are possible here. It has a car-park, restaurants, a Red Cross post and sunshade and sun lounger hire.

Ferreries (Minorca)

Shell-shaped beach situated in Galdana Cove Housing Estate. Shallow water.

Cala Torta

The surroundings are entirely unspoiled. Scuba-diving and snorkelling are highly recommended in this area.

Cala Mondragó

Situated within Mondragó Natural Park. It is equipped with several services and facilities, making for a very cosy beach. It is possible to walk to S'Amarador and Caló des Borgit from this beach. The cove is set in pleasant surroundings, full of vegetation and a pine grove. Easy parking.

Cala Santayí

This beach is easy to get to, as it is well signposted throughout the town. Sunbed and restaurant services are available. The sand is top quality, while water is extremely clean and clear. Many sports are available, like windsurfing and scuba-diving; the necessary gear is for rent.

Cala Basset

Ideal spot for anchoring boats. The seabed and crystal-clear water are favourite attractions amongst those who know this beach. It is also highly recommended for snorkelling.

Cala Blanca

This is one of the three biggest beaches in Palmanova and is very well equipped. A pleasant promenade joins Son Maties and Es Carregador beaches.

Mojacar Beach

The beach itself is excellent and the waters (like all in Almeria) are warm and brilliantly clear.

Ses Salines

A beach of clear water and fine sand. Several sports can be played here. All kind of equipment can be hired: pedalos, jet-skis, windsurf boards, kayaks or bicycles. Easy access
