TOP DESTINATIONS

Cavallet Beach
Official Nude Bathing Beach. Wild and natural, backed by sand dunes and a little green belt of shade and hills. Large breaking waves when the east wind blows near the sandy shoreline. Popular with windsurfers when the wind blows.

Rolling dunes and a very broad sandy beach are perfect for beach strolls. Throughout the summer months, these sandy dunes are a much-loved meeting point for homosexuals. With -music anddisco cocktails, the party feeling continues here the whole day long.

Chiringay at Es Cavallet

Activities: Volleyball net, music bars.

Size: 1.1 kilometres long, 30-40 metres wide

Reached by car, bicycle (be careful of the traffic!), or bus from Ibiza Town (10 km) or Playa d'en Bossa (6 km).

ACCESS: Take the paved road to the airport, before arriving at San Jordi de ses Salines turn left towards the Canal. Go 4 kms on this road and then follow the signs to es Caballet beach.

TRANSPORTATION: By car, bicycle (this road has a bike-lane) or bus to ses Salines and get off at the intersection with the road to es Caballet beach.

DISTANCES: 9.5 km from Ibiza and 24.5 km from Sant Josep de sa Talaia.

LENGTH: 1.1 km.

WIDTH: 30 to 40 m.

TERRAIN: Very fine, natural sand. In the southernmost point there are some rocky spots and natural pools.
DEPTH: Sandy sea beds with some rocky spots ideal for snorkeling. Very shallow waters minimize risks when swimming. Some sea vegetation can be seen.

ORIENTATION AND PREDOMINANT WINDS: Its eastern orientation creates moderated, inland winds from the East.

SCENERY: Located by the salt mine ponds, it has been declared a National Park where we can watch many beautiful, wild and water birds, as well as the typical salt mine buildings and structures. Take one of the numerous trails among the pine trees representative of the island conifer flora.
In a National Park, visitors must comply with preservation rules and follow indications by the Park guards

It is a very interesting area for nudists (it is enclosed as a nudist beach). There are multiple, secluded areas for sunbathing and many options for watersports, or simply walk around and admire its natural beauty.

Lined with bars this Ibiza Beach is at the southern tip of Ibiza.

An official Nudist Beach Es Cavallet is also a favorite beach for the gay community.

Es Cavallet has rolling sand dunes protecting its 1.1km of sand.

Top Beaches

Santa Eulália

This beach, awarded with the blue flag, begins immediately after Es Riu de Santa Eulalia and ends at the marina. It has all kinds of facilities and services, such as jet skis and parasailing.

Alcúdia (Majorca)

There is a pine grove behind the beach that runs parallel to it until it meets an urban area. All kinds of water sports are possible here. It has a car-park, restaurants, a Red Cross post and sunshade and sun lounger hire.

Ferreries (Minorca)

Shell-shaped beach situated in Galdana Cove Housing Estate. Shallow water.

Cala Torta

The surroundings are entirely unspoiled. Scuba-diving and snorkelling are highly recommended in this area.

Cala Mondragó

Situated within Mondragó Natural Park. It is equipped with several services and facilities, making for a very cosy beach. It is possible to walk to S'Amarador and Caló des Borgit from this beach. The cove is set in pleasant surroundings, full of vegetation and a pine grove. Easy parking.

Cala Santayí

This beach is easy to get to, as it is well signposted throughout the town. Sunbed and restaurant services are available. The sand is top quality, while water is extremely clean and clear. Many sports are available, like windsurfing and scuba-diving; the necessary gear is for rent.

Cala Basset

Ideal spot for anchoring boats. The seabed and crystal-clear water are favourite attractions amongst those who know this beach. It is also highly recommended for snorkelling.

Cala Blanca

This is one of the three biggest beaches in Palmanova and is very well equipped. A pleasant promenade joins Son Maties and Es Carregador beaches.

Mojacar Beach

The beach itself is excellent and the waters (like all in Almeria) are warm and brilliantly clear.

Ses Salines

A beach of clear water and fine sand. Several sports can be played here. All kind of equipment can be hired: pedalos, jet-skis, windsurf boards, kayaks or bicycles. Easy access
